End of 2018/19 Season

Hello 2018/2019 members and friends,

Because all things, good or bad, must come to an end, there will be no more grooming up at Ironton.  There is still quite a bit of snow up there to ski if you are so inclined.  But be aware that the County has already started clearing towards Corkscrew.

A big thank you to Chris and Bill for an outstanding job of grooming this season.  It was an amazing winter of snow!

Cheers,  OCNC

Ironton Update

IRONTON SKIING UPDATE  😀

A crew of OCNC members have been working hard to get Ironton back in shape. The Townsite Loop is rolled and track is set. The parking lot is clear. Please be considerate when parking and orient your vehicle nose-in / diagonal so we can accommodate the maximum possible number of vehicles in the lot. Also, if you are up there skiing or snowshoeing, please help us out with our trail bridges. The snow needs to be packed on the whole surface of the bridge. So, use your skis/snowshoes to consolidate that snow on the bridges. Thanks!

Tentative plan is for more rolling and grooming to happen tomorrow (Tuesday). Have fun up there and be safe!
