IRONTON GROOMING UPDATE: Grooming sled is “mostly repaired” at shop in Grand Junction. Waiting on 1 small part. Good chance grooming will resume by the end of the week. Ironton Update:
First, Red Mountain Pass is closed for avalanche mitigation. They hope to get it open mid-day Saturday. Check www.cdot.gov before heading up that way.
Second, the grooming sled needs a major repair. Bill Leo put a huge effort out to retrieve the sled from the trail and take it all the way up to Grand Junction. That’s where he found a shop that could start working on it right away. A big SHOUT OUT to Bill for making this happen! We will let folks know when we expect to start grooming again.
Time to enjoy some skier-broke tracks for a little while!
